In late 2015, a small group of post high-school youth, after having failed to find conventional volunteer opportunities, decided to create their own opportunity to serve the children in their community. True to this spirit, the organisation was founded, and aptly named, Do It For The Kids.

Do It For The Kids, commonly known as DIFTK, is a non-profit organisation that is registered as a Provincial Youth Association in the Advocacy, Education and Training of young Zimbabweans with the Zimbabwe Youth Council as of 1 July 2016. It is a registered Trust with the Department of
Deeds, Companies and Intellectual Property in Zimbabwe.
